Every year since 1989, Al-Anon Adult Children in Illinois have hosted a weekend Workshop and Festival to aid in our recovery. It is intended to be a recovery weekend for all Adult Children and the people who love them. This includes all Al-Anon members and anyone else in recovery from the effects of growing up or living in an alcoholic home. Many members of other 12-Step groups such as AA, ACOA, OA, and CODA also find this event helpful to their own programs. Each year, recovering friends come from all over the country to experience the weekend. We invite you to visit the rest of our website, and to join us for the upcoming Workshop and Festival.

2008 will be the 20th Annual Al-Anon Adult Children Workshop and Festival.

The focus in 2008 will be on Recovery as a journey rather than a destination, and how healing comes from within as we travel together. The theme for the 2008 Workshop and Festival will be:
“Journey through the Land of Recovery
  – Finding my way back home”.
