Every year since 1989, Al-Anon Adult
Children in Illinois have hosted a weekend Workshop and Festival to aid in
our recovery. It is intended to be a recovery weekend for all Adult
Children and the people who love them. This includes all Al-Anon members and anyone else in
recovery from the effects of growing up or living in an alcoholic home. Many members
of other 12-Step groups such as AA, ACOA, OA, and CODA also find this
event helpful to their own programs. Each year, recovering friends come
from all over the country to experience the weekend. We invite you to
visit the rest of our website, and to join us for the upcoming Workshop
and Festival.

Effective recovery is a slow, steady
process instead of a sprint. Our theme
for 2009 will be "Progress, not Prefection,
one step at a time".
The focus will
be on the basic issues of adult children and how steady, patient, participation in our 12-step program can lead us from pain to serenity in
those same areas.

Yes, we know it’s not spelled right. We just
wanted to see if you were paying attention and whether or not you still
had some ‘perfection issues” of your own to deal with and really,
really needed to come to this workshop……….
